Course Content

Range training and course of fire: The range course of fire objectives is to develop safe handgun operation and shooting skills through repetitive "building blocks" of core procedures that produce the desired results in the required amount of time. Each shooting segment will build on the previous segment through reparative handgun operating procedures and firing additional shots with each sequence.
Target at 15 and 21 ft 50 rounds of ammunition Procedure:
At the end of the building block shooting session the handgun is loaded five times and 16 rounds are fired; each time shooting an additional round of ammunition. This creates the "building block" procedure of shooting that develops sound handgun operating procedures and shooting skills in a progressive manner.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Manual is an excellent recourse for the new and beginner handgun shooter. It is recommended that you purchase at least one manual per family.
