Transporting without a CPL

Handguns must  be transported in a gun box or other suitable container and placed in a inaccessible "location" or "condition" in the vehicle.

Ammunition cannot be transported in the gun box and the handgun must be unloaded.

Ammunition can be carried in any other suitable container.

The handgun or container must be locked. Trigger lock the handgun or lock the case.

Handgun containers are containers that can be locked

• The typical gun box

• Soft pack gun container

• Brief case

Vehicle

Vehicles without a trunk ( SUV - Van- Pickup - Motorcycle)

Place the locked and unloaded handgun in a inaccessible  place (to the driver) if possible.

If the vehicle has a separate trunk. Transport the handgun in the trunk.
