The CPL class requires a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition.

The state of Michigan does not mandate a specific caliber of handgun, therefore a student could complete the range portion with a .22 caliber handgun.

While not mandatory, we encourage students to qualify with the type and caliber of handgun ( semi-auto or revolver) the person would like to carry for self defense. See selecting a handgun to fit your needs.
