What is the difference between a private class and a open enrollment class?

Private CPL class advantages

This Private class is not listed on our website and is limited to you and your group only!

You can select the date and time of training

You have your own personal trainer

One and two day options are available ----

A one day course is usually 9am-6pm. This may be modified based on your needs.

Two day divided class:

The CPL class may be completed in two parts.

 Part one is classroom 4 hours.

 Part two is 4 hours class and range time

Private class size limit:  6 people

Scheduling procedure: 

1. Classroom and range schedule based on a pre-arranged time agreed to by the client and instructor.

2. Arrangements for the use of the classroom and range are confirmed with Bass Pro Shop.

3. Pre  payment of the class fee is required to confirm the class.

What if the pre- paid person cannot attend the class and would like to re schedule?

The pre-payment fees are kept in escrow for 45 days. The participant can compete the training or purchase other training or products within that time. At the end of 45 days the the fees are forfeited to Handgun Training Specialists.

Private class cancelation policy

A 2 day cancellation is required to receive a return of all your deposit.

Cancelations after the 2 day notice receive a 50% return of the deposit

Failure to attend or cancel (NO Shows) do not receive a refund.

Special exceptions can be made for illness, medical emergencies or other family emergencies.

We (Handgun Training Specialists) are required to confirm your place in our class 2 days prior to the training date.  If you do not show up for the class or do not cancel we (Handgun Training Specialists) are liable for the range fees we have scheduled for you.

 We must pay the fee if the time is schedule whether the student is attending or not.

The open class enrollment

 This class schedule is listed on our web site and will include other people.

Class size limit 12 people

 

The CPL class is completed in one day 9am-6:30pm and therefore it is necessary to proceed through the day in a pre-planned orderly manner.  While not necessary, prior handgun shooting experience is a benefit to the applicant.   

  

Course content

The CCW "private" CCW training class and "open class" have the same course content.
