This course is designed for students to learn about the legal liability of owning, carrying, transporting, and using a firearm for self-defense.  This is serious business that can have far reaching  consequences. Most honest people get into trouble because they didn't know the laws or relied on some bad advice.  When you defend yourself on the street or at home you may also be required to defend yourself in a court of law.  There is the possibility of criminal prosecution an a civil law suit. It is imperative that when you act have the correct  information. Acting on incomplete or inaccurate information could put you in legal jeopardy. The time when you point a gun a someone and pull the trigger is one of the most critical decisions you can make. Make the wrong one and it could cost some innocent person their life and you the loss of your freedom, job, money and possessions.
